Whilst the past two years have seen us face challenging times, we’ve always been here to help you with your health and wellbeing. Despite rumours, we have never been closed during the pandemic, and have remained open to help those who have needed our care and support.
Throughout the Coronavirus pandemic, our top priority was to help stop the spread, and to keep everyone as safe as possible from the virus. With this is mind, we had to change the way we worked, including using an online booking system, telephone and video consultations and communicating with patients using the intercom at the main door.
Although Covid-19 is still a part of our lives, we have taken the decision to start our journey back to more normal times. We’re pleased to announce that from 1st November, the main surgery doors will be open, and we will no longer be using the intercom to welcome patients into the practice.
We’re still committed to keeping you and the community around us safe. To help make that possible, we do still ask that you wear a face mask, sanitise your hands and stick to social distancing guidelines when you visit us. The practice will continue to be regularly cleaned, and blue roll and sanitiser spray will be available for you to clean down a waiting room chair if you wish to do so. If you have any symptoms of Coronavirus at the time of your appointment, please do not attend the practice.
To make signing in for your appointment as quick and easy as possible, we will be turning on the automatic check in system. Hand sanitiser will also be available to disinfect your hands before and after you touch the screen.
You will also be able to visit the practice to drop off samples and forms, although we do still ask that you complete these at home to reduce the amount of time you spend in the surgery.
We have seen such success with the online system, with many of you letting us know how well it has worked for you. Because of this, we do ask that you continue to use our website to submit requests for appointments, repeat prescriptions etc. If you do not feel confident using the online system and need a helping hand, please get in touch with a member of our friendly reception team.
